As a Practice we are very aware that visiting GP/health professional can, at times be stressful and concerning for patients. Delays in surgery times and having to wait sometimes longer than anticipated on a GP to ring you back, due to unforeseen circumstances, can also add to these concerns.
The Practice is committed to ensuring that our staff treat our patients with dignity and courtesy at all times. We expect our patients to treat staff in the same manner.
To ensure this is fully observed we have instigated a Zero Tolerance Policy, whereby aggressive or violent behaviour towards our staff will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Any patient, or person accompanying (or representing) the patient, who verbally abuses a member of staff will be sent a letter from the Practice Manager warning them that this behaviour will not be tolerated. Any future violation of this policy will result in removal from the Practice. PSNI will be called in all cases of violence.
