Our Advance Nurse Practitioner is a Registered Nurse who has done extra training and academic qualifications to be able to examine, assess, make diagnoses, treat, prescribe and make referrals for patients.

Practice Nurse

Practice nurses are qualified and Registered Nurses. Our practice nurse aims to provide you with an efficient quality service in a caring and helpful manner. Our practice nurse runs clinics for long-term health conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes, Hypertension and carries out cervical smears. Treatment Room Nurses

Our treatment room nurses are available by appointment Monday to Friday 9.00am - 12.30pm and 2pm - 5.00pm, except Wednesday when they are available from 9.00am - 12.30pm. Their comprehensive service includes dealing with wounds and dressings, blood tests, ear syringing, suture removal, advice on minor ailments, travel and childhood immunisation. Treatments, tests etc may require authorisation from the GP. They can be contacted on 028 8675 8416.

Practice Management

The Practice Manager is involved in managing all aspects of the Practice, making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care. The Practice Manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Reception

Our receptionists provide an important link for patients with the Practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on the services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make the majority of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with patient records. Strict confidentiality is maintained by all staff on any matter relating to the health of our patients.

Practice Based Pharmacist

Our Practice Based Pharmacist plays a vital role in our team. He provides prescribing advice to GPs to encourage safe, cost-effective prescribing.

MARK DONNELLY

District Nursing

The district nursing team provide skilled nursing care in the patient's own home. They assess needs, give information and carry out appropriate nursing care. They can be contacted at the practice 9am and 4.00pm or by phoning 028 8672 3808. If the district nurse is not available, a message can be left on their answering machine and they will contact you.

Community Midwife

The community midwife provides care and advice during pregnancy and also during the postnatal period. The midwife runs an antenatal clinic every Thursday from 2.00pm - 4.00pm and can be contacted by phoning 028 8672 3800.

Health Visitor

A Health Visitor is a Registered Nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing. The Health Visitor can be contacted on 028 8672 3810.
